Visa
Foreign nationals entering Japan must hold a valid passport and a Japanese visa issued by the Japanese embassy or consulate in their country. However, citizens of many countries are now permitted to enter Japan without a visa for a limited period of time under certain conditions. The WCPP2024 Organizing Committee can provide the documents required for visa applications. Please complete the following procedures before requesting the documents:
- Registration for WCPP2024 and payment of registration fee
- Booking your flight and hotel
To request the documents, please send an email to wcpp2024@googlegroups.com with the following information:

The visa issuance period for WCPP2024 will be from 2nd June (Sun) to 8th June (Sat) 2024. This period is guaranteed by WCPP2024, but the other periods are not.

The visa application to the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan in your country should be your responsibility. WCPP2024 is not responsible for visa application or the cancellation of travel expenses, including flight tickets and hotel bookings.
Access to Nara
The closest airports to Nara are Osaka International Airport (ITM, also known as Itami Airport) and KANSAI International Airport. There are direct limousine buses from Osaka International Airport to Kintetsu or JR Nara (cost 1,510 JPY), and KANSAI International Airport to JR Nara (cost 2,400 JPY). If you arrive at an airport in the Tokyo area, please take a Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto and transfer to a Kintetsu or JR train to Nara. Kintetsu Nara is the closest station to the conference venue.

Accommodation
There are many hotels around Nara stations and the Conference Hall.
Around Kintetsu Nara station, there are comfortable small hotels and business hotels. You can take a bus to the Conference Hall from a bus stop at Kintetsu Nara station. You can also walk to the Conference Hall enjoying the air of the Nara Park. It will take around 20 minutes by walk. There are many shops, restaurants, convenience stores in this area.
Around the Sarusawa Pond, there are relatively large hotels for tourists. This area is adjacent to the Nara Park, and one of the world-heritage sites, Kofuku-ji temple, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of the ancient city. You can walk to the Conference Hall and you can also catch a bus. There are a number of hotels in the area, including simple but reasonably priced accommodation, the Nara Visitor Center & INN, highly recommended for young students, and the Nara Hotel, a prestigious and historic hotel. If you book early, you can get a good deal.
Around JR Nara station, there are several standard or business hotels. Accommodation fee, including breakfast, of these hotels are quite reasonable. This area is a little far from the Conference Hall, but you can take a bus to the Conference Hall from a bus stop at JR Nara station. It will take 15 minutes by bus.
